I've looked through some past threads with no luck in solving my problem. Its like my brand new tf card doesn't work. I don't know if its my mac, or my phone, or the card, or just me. I have formatted it. I have also done some things successfully, like I took some pictures off my phone and put them on my computer. the main problem I encountered was in transfering mp3s to my phone. First I tried to send a (full size, and not .mid) mp3 to my phone. Once I put the card, with the new file, in my phone, i switched storage devices within the audio player, and could see the file, but when i tried to play it, it started, then kept skipping and going no where. It all goes down hill from there. I tried switching it to the phone and playing it...

I'm assuming you're formatting the card with the phone, right? uhmm, make sure all you rmp3s are CONSTANT BIT RATE (CBR) VBR mp3s will not play! (or play erratically)

ok, i'll try, but i'm pretty sure i already tried it. that doesn't mean i did it right. Do you know if itunes automatically does vbr, and i have to custum encode the file in order not to?

OK, I tried doing everything over again... and made sure the file was not vbr. The cbr mp3 (full size - about 4 mb, tiny for the card) is the only thing on the card after i reformatted it again. this should be like starting from new like the first time i did it, when the file played irratically of the card. But.....now i cant even access the card at all. I go to the audio player, and see what is still saved on the phone, then I go to swtich storage device, and i select the card, and it freezes, and will not access it at all.

Have you tried rebooting the phone after transferring mp3 files and reinstalling the tf card? I discovered that when transferring "one" file over then placing the tf card back into the phone it works. But when any more files were transferred the audio would skip or not play the new files. I tried various mp3s and bit rates and even re-formatted the tf card. Same problem.
It wasn't until I would transfer the file(s) from the pc install the tf and then cycle the power on the phone that all the mp3s would play. Even the files that never played before.
Hope this helps. 🙂

Okay, I just went through this on my card. First, if you are formatting the card with your computer make sure that you use a FAT file system....SanDisk said that a FAT32 will not work. Secondly, go into your phone and open the sound file. Once you are at that point, put your trans-flash card in and switch to the storage device. It will be empty, but the phone will write its file system onto your disk. Switch back to the phone storage and then you can remove your disk. Now you should be able to copy .mp3's and play them with your phone. Whenever I would put songs on the card before I put it in the phone first, the songs would be all jumpy and erratic. And the phone was freezing up on me whenever I didn't manually switch back to the ph...
