Mobile IM--> What are the charges associated using it?
Can anybody tell me if Verizon charges you minutes when you connect to Yahoo messenger, AIM or MSN Messenger via their “Mobile IM” application (Which by the way is a free download)
I am aware that the sending and receiving is treated like txt messaging. But I noticed that when telling the application to connect, that I see the icon for calls pop up. Which leads me to believe that it may be using some of my airtime.
Who knows what Verizon is reallty charging us, and for what.

I Know Look At Your Bill 😁

Heh heh, funny.
Well I am asking before I increase my bill. If there are those who have used these services before I would appreciating hearing what they billed you for.

i thinks there a way to like see your air time or money spent or something like that by sending a text message to some
ask moto
...
also i got a question how do you like your phone.
...
it only connects (using airtime) for a short moment when refreshing your buddy list or signing on or off of the AIM service..this does not stay connected while you are online or using the app, you will notice you are able to stay 'online' with the mobile and completely exit the app, this is because the online status is saved on the instant mess. servers, not your phone..and you are correct, to send/receive messages uses txt mess. service.
...
So you then that means I use at least a minute of my air time when I connect?
