I've been trying to install my V710 on my computer but my computer never recognizes the driver off of the phonetools disk. How do I get it to work?

Also, I understand that you cannot transfer mp3s over the USB cable in order to preserve verizon's getItNow... have I been jerked?

I am having fits and need help with this, too. I have always been a two-device guy but got tired of carrying a mobile phone and a PDA. I did what I thought was "good research" in finding a solution using v710 & phone tools but have had nothing but trouble. I was on with Moto Support 3x and finally got version "f" update but that does not allow the v710 to be recognized...I need help - lost in the field w/out my contacts, etc. Has anyone figured this out??? ☹️ ☹️

2. Once you have version "f" installed, connect the phone and USB cable to the computer and check that the Motorola USB modem device is seen in the Windoews control panel under Phones and Modems.

3. If it is: delete it, reboot your computer, then reconnect the phone and USB cable and let Windows discover the new device.

4. If it is not: completely uninstall the phonetools software, reboot, and reinstall.
