Data Services don't work on Cingular!
I have had my phone since Oct 18th. It will not function as a modem. It will not retrieve pop3 email from my accounts. It will not access the internet from my bluetooth PDA. Also,Pocket MSN will not work on the Cingular system (Microsoft has acknowledged they are issuing a new version to support Cingular). After several consultations with Cingular tech support, they acknowledge they do not in fact support these data functionalities....but someday they will. If anybody has had luck with this, PLEASE help! I absolutely need this functionality for when I travel. I didn't plan to buy a $250.00 phone for voice only. Thanks. [email protected]

I would have to assume that you don't have the right data package service on your account. Knowing that you have already spoken to cingular tech support I find that hard to believe... but here's what I do know. The Media Works package with unlimited data for $19.99 will NOT work when connected to external devices. (like a laptop, never tried a PDA) The $79.99 laptop connect package will work and offers unlimited data. There's also smaller packages available.

I have the Media Works package; half the Cingular techs say that's all I need for these new Windows phones; the other half say I still need the 5MB/10MB/Unlimited packages. Moot point, because I have had BOTH during my conversations with tech support! When Cingular cust svce authorizes me to cancel my agreement because they say they don't support this phone..how can I argue with that?! Although, I really don't believe it, but apparently there are few people that understand this phone. If you work for Cingular; please get me a NAME of an INDIVIDUAL who knows something about this model.
