Caller ID fixed?

Im debating whether to get this phone, the V3 (which will most likely end up to be too much) or an ipod for chrismas, but I want to know if the caller id problem has been fied (where it takes like 2 or 3 rings for it to identify). Has it been fixed with the new firmware upgrade? Also when it takes a long time to identify, is it just on the outside display or is it on the inside or both? thanks

I have the 1.3 firmware, and I dont have this problem. The caller ID actually shows up before it rings. Then again, I didn't have the problem with the old firmware (.342). The Caller ID works fine on both the inside and external LCD screens.
