Time Settings

Does anyone have any idea how to sync the time clock to the network time? With many of the Motorola and Nokia phones you can auto update the phone clock to the network time (its a typical setting). Is it possible with the MPX 220?

Also, does anyone know how to turn off the time sync with the laptop when syncing up the contacts / calendar w/ Outlook?

Thanks.

I have yet to find an option in either the Motorola MPx220 or the Audiovox SMT 5600 smartphones to have them automatically updated their built-in clocks to the local GSM network. In fact, I coudn't even get my prior Sony/Ericcson T627 to do that.

As for your second question, I presume you're asking about ActiveSync - just open the main ActiveSync UI, choose "Options", and on the main "Sync Options" tab near the bottom is a checkbox to enable/disable "Synchronize mobile device clock upon connecting" which is enabled by default.
