I have the MOTO 820. I like it because I can end the call with the earpiece still on my ear. The 810, you have to flip it closed. I am having the same volume issues as with the phone's earpiece though.

I have the 810 and love it. Closing the flip on the 810 breaks the BT bond but that's not the primary way to end a call. You simply use the multifunction button:
With the flip open and the 810 linked to the phone:
* When the phone ring, press the button on the 810 to answer the call (works on the MPx220).
* When in a call on the 810, press the button to end the call (works on the MPx220).
* When NOT in a call, press the button to initiate voice dialing on compatible phones (does NOT work on the MPx220).
* When NOT in a call, press and hold the button to redial the last number dialed (works on the MPx220).

i prefer the 810 the range is awesome. i experience nearly 50ft from phone in some cases! the jabra freespeak 250 feels better on the ear, more stable less likely to fall off but sometimes connection is bad when phone is only in my pocket! I've had good experiences with all the moto headsets but the 810 is my favorite. also with all the moto headsets the same charger works on the headset and phone. HUGE CONVENIENCE!
