go to settings, profiles, choose normal then set ringer volume.

I never noticed there was a menu option for profile. I was able to set the alerts and alarm volumes to loud.
Everything except MP3 tones will give off a very hearty sound. Not bad...but I still wish the MP3s would play louder.

tried this with the Outdoor setting, 1.3 firmware and the ringer volume still sucks. has on the last 13 of these phones.
I plan to stick with the phone only because I have hope that Moto will release a downloadable firmware upgrade/flash that will correct the few remaining glitches.
