I know this phone is meant to replace a digital video camera or an mp3 player, but I have to ask anyways....
I dont own an mp3 player or digital camera.
What can I expect from the audio in video clips?? How does the video capture look? Does it look like a low quality webcam?
Lastly, is there a way to connect the phone to another device to play mp3's? For instance, can I connect the phone to my car or home stereo to while playing mp3s off the miniSD?
Thanks in advance.

I know most of you on here have this phone....
Can someone please answer?

I don't know 100% how to answer your questions, but I can tell you that, when you download mp3's for ring tones, they are only a sample of the song; that is, you don't download the entire song to listen to. Now, with extra memory, one may be able to store entire songs, but I'm not sure how. I can't think of any connection from the phone to car stereo that would allow you to play them though.
As for the video recorder, it is intended only for short clips, and not any significant amt of time, such as one would do with an actual camcorder. I still say the camera takes pretty good pics for a phone, but you have to be in appropriate light, distance, and all that, whereas a digital camera has more variability/usage.

I plan on buying a 512 MB mem card.... Will that help to make this a better mp3 player replacement?
Is there a limit on the movie clips with the phone itself or is it dependent entirely on the size of the mem card used?

I have a 256 mini Sd and so far I have loaded about 20 full lenth mp3 songs. i still have about 230 mb left. ringtones you need to store on the phone under my documents/sounds. be sure to edit them to 30 seconds or so. the camera does do a good job considering this is a phone. and as black16 said, conditions need to good for a good result. video is ok, simply that. ok. i wish i could figure out how to play them on my laptop though. would be easier to see better.
i DO highly recommend the phone however. very impressive.

I just ordered a mini SD disk with 512mb. I am told that it will hold 4 full length dvds so that I can watch them on the plane, if they let me.

I travel 150k miles a year myself so i know what you mean. I would suggest that you put the phone in flight mode and show this to the cabin crew before takeoff. explain that when in "flight mode" the phone neither sends or recieves any signal whatsoever. it is basically just a pda or a fancy calculator.
I travel to paris on monday and i will try it for myself.
good luck.

As a digital camera, the picture quality is poor. I would not consider it a "replacement" for a digital camera (nor a video camare).
As an MP3 player, you will need a MiniSD Card, as there is not enough space to store many MP3s other wise. There are adapters that you can get to be able to connect the MPx220 to a standard mini plug (3.5 mm). Check out eBay to find one. You will also need to load a playlist manager, as the phone doesn't come with one. There is a free one at: http://www.airfagev.com/downloads1.asp?id=86
(you have to replace "***" with the three letters "f - a - g" in the URL above, as this website filters those three characters when placed together.
I think the best thing about the MPx220 is the PIM or PDA features. I ...
