ATT ROM Version .343...

I tried to pick up this phone from one of the stores and I couldn't because they only had the Cingular versions of it. I have to keep the ATT version because I can't make any changes to our company plan, etc....

I ended up getting one from the ATT Nat Bus phone line. Bought it on Monday, showed up on Tuesday (great!).

Checked the ROM version and it is .343. I haven't had the phone long enough to notice any problems but should I be trying to get an upgraded version? Do they have the upgraded version for ATT? How do I go about doing it?

I read the threads posted below and I didn't couldn't find any info for ATT specific. I was told the sim cards are diferent and that they are going to phase out the ATT stuff.

One of the factors that helped me decide to go ahead and make the "migration" move to Cingular was that AT&T just before Christmas didn't have any MPx220's (on back order).

Just after I ordered mine through Cingular Bus. Dept., I e-mailed Motorola and their response to the whole firmware controversy was that there was never any recall.

According to them, the software versions are installed based on the company's specs/requests, making it sound as if there never was a glitch in the phone d/t complications with the make of the phone itself.

Possibly AT&T requires a different software version than Cingular, and that is why your version is different?
