Voicemail and Password

Cingular keeps asking me to input my password every time I check my voice mail...is that normal? I just switched from Sprint and they had an option to avoid entering in the VM password everytime I checked from my cell phone. Is this an option I cant figure out how to fix, or is this somehting I will have to live with?

you may have to live with it. I do not know a workaround. I dial "1" and then enter my stuff.

you have the wrong number entered as your voicemail number. you should not need to enter a password when dialing 1 from your mobile. your account is assigned a primary phone number as well as a voicemail number. you need to contact cingular and ask for your "voicemail number"

Nope, I entered my password (which I created) for a couple years when with AT&T, until a lady at the local AT&T Wireless store was fooling with my last new phone and entered some kind of option to start the automatic log in to voice mail.

I don't know what she did though, nor do I know if Cingular allows the same tweaking of your own voice mail set up. I imagine they do. I too am back to entering my password when I dial voice mail.
