Voicemail phone number getting set to "0000000000"?
Anyone else having this problem? v1.3 MPx220 phone ordered from Cingular phone sales. It's not difficult to change back to the proper number, but it's annoying and shouldn't be doing this.
I'm also getting occasional issues whereby the phone either won't answer a call or won't place a call, claiming it can't dial, etc...

Yesterday I had my number changed.. No, don't think this is it..
After changing my number I figured I'd try out our new voice mail feature. Yes this, I think is where the problem lies.
First of all, our oldskool VM code in our system was abbreviated as BWBN (don't ask, don't know).. OR enhanced VM was "BEWN" or something like that.
Within the past month or so, Cingular has since then, upgraded their voice mail platform (won't go into details) Since doing so, there are NEW VM feature codes in the system we use.
Now, basic voicemail is NBV2 and enhanced is NEV2. I have enhanced since I work for em by def...

The pilot number is the number that connects you to a voicemail platform and then it understands which phone number you are and takes you to your voicemail.
It would like something like this in your phone... +19724848381 and it is not a set number for everyone. I have had one of my MPx220's have this issue. Once you get the pilot number you go to...
Menu > Settings > Phone > Call Options
In that menu, you will see Voicemail number and you need to change it to the pilot number. Your voicemail will then work correctly.
