Where the *#$%$ is the Moto-branded Holster??

This phone has officially been for sale in the US since mid-October, right? That's nearly 3 months, and still no sign of a Motorola-branded plastic holster. Firstly, it's appalling that a phone in this price class didn't come with one in the box, but to not even have one available for purchase within the first 3 months is ridiculous.

Anyone with me, here?

Otherwise, a few small nits aside, I really like the phone 😁

đŸ‘ŋ I totally agree with you! I love this phone but Moto needs to be kicked in their butts due to the terrible way that they brought this phone to the market. First, the first version had numerous software issuses (Moto would not even accept the fact there were problems). Next, we had, and still have, poor product service from Moto and Cingular. Finally, the "manual" does not explain anything for the MPX 220. If we couldn't discuss these issues on this website and get answers from other MPXers, we would not even be able to use this phone. ☚ī¸

Hey guys, check out factorydirectcellular.com
They have a decent (it ain't body glove) case w/belt clip that is nicely made and allows the phone to be fully functional w/case on (cellet brand).

Also noted on that page for accessories for the MPx220 is a belt clip, sort of like the ones that come with my old Motorola V60t color phone. It attaches to the back and sort of grabs the phone by its corners and the back of the holster is a belt clip. They work well, but don't protect the phone. Anyways, it says "coming soon," so I frequent the site to see if its available.

Also, I e-mailed body glove re: making a case specifically for the MPx and the response was "currently there are no plans to produce a case for this phone...much will de...

Yup- the one listed at factorydirectcellular.com is what I'm looking for... I'm just tired of this "Coming Soon" carp 😉 More than 3 months and not a single accessory for the phone. *sigh*

I got the Body Glove Universal for Large phones, yesterday at Best Buy, and it fits the MPx220 perfectly. We'll see how it holds up.

Ditto Yogi06. Both Cingular and Moto are totally useless. This board is most useful for information. I bought the large size body glove at Best Buy and it fits perfectly (it swivels as well. I prefer to remove the phone from the case so it is just what I wanted. It's only $20 and seems like it protects the phone well.

Right with you, mdkappy. I have read numerous computer/tech/phone magazines that discuss the MPX220. Moto Corp. are total jerks because if they just would have taken a little more time to properly produce this phone (meaning correct software, manual, and support), the MPX 220 would probably be the number one phone at this time (at least here in America). Every magazine loves the overall concept of the phone and want to give it extremely high marks as a phone. Still, the magazines know about the problems that all MPXers know about when dealing with this phone. Moto truly could have made a real comeback with this phone. To be honest, overall, the MPX220, if it was done right, is a better phone than the RAZR V3. 😛
