How do you set up the MPx220 to be a modem
well...first u gotta have the modem driver installed in ur system off the cd that came with the phone (you probably already have it installed).
now go into the start menu of ur phone and under accessories theres a modem link icon. default setting is inactive...you want to set it to active. now, it's a good idea to go into the device manager and right click the mpx 220 device under modems in the device manager (located in CP>system>hardware) and go to the properties. you want to click on diagnostics and query the phone so it doesnt switch back to inactive.
now set up a new dial up connection through IE. the number is *99# the username is [email protected] and the password is CINGULAR1 (case sensitive). MAKE SURE you set the modem to ...
