Wish list for MP220 hacks
1: is ther a way to have the exterior LCD on all the time but not have the interior on?.
2: Is there a way to get rid of the time and date on the exterior LCD?
3: Is there a way to run vidoes clips on the exterior LCD
3: Is there a way to just have the 5 quick launch buttons and number of missed calls on the home screen?

would like a moving animation on the external LCD... like it does durring startup.

I wish someone would make something to be able to use the flash for the camera as a flashlight. ive been in a few circumstances where Ive needed light and the screen wont provide as much light as I would need. As for the exterior light always on, I just wish it would always show the time.

On one of these threads (look on previous pages, because it's been a few weeks ago), there is a link for a free registry editor. I have been on this site and downloaded a copy of it, but I am not that experienced with fooling around with hard resetting of files...However, I'm thinking that this can allow to make some of the changes you are wanting, if you know how to do it 😁

Yes, but it would involve making a new home screen layout. There are several different supplied ones that might get you close to what you want.
Go to Settings -> Home Screen, then try some of the other "Home screen layouts".
If you are a real geek, this Microsoft page will explain how to customize your home screen. The elements specific to a .HOME.XML file are the ones that will do what you asked about (this page also has info about changing colors and such as well).
