MP3 Ringtones

I just purchased a MPx220 as an upgrade from a v600. Is there any way to use MP3 files as ringtones like on the V600? I have them stored on the phone under Windows Media but they are not avail when I change the ringtone.

im pretty sure when i do it, i put them under application data > sounds
