Trying to play wav files.

Both my corporate voicemail and my home voicemail can send messages as wav file attachments in emails. I am trying to set this phone to both receive the email, and play the attachment. Neither works as I would like. I set the email up using outlook, but it has to go out and look for the emails, and the minimum interval is 15 minutes. My friend has a treo on Cingular which gets his emails immediatly... Anyway, I guess I can live with the delay, but I can't seem to get the files to play... I get the attachment, but it just won't play, and the phone doesn't offer any error message. The wav file is compressed using CCIT U-Law. Is this the problem? Are there any aftermarket audio players that can be installed that will play that?
