Just activated service at bestbuy!! Now I am stuck. Do I want the MPX220 or do I keep the V551?
I know that the MPX220 has a lot of cons, but so does any cell phone. . . I am really curious as to if I can insure the phone through my carrier. Let me know if I can.

Back to the subject at hand. . . Do I get the MPX220 or will I be dissapointed to giving up my v551???

I seem to recall being told by Cingular that they would not insure the phone.

I have not owned the 551, but almost purchased it. I would actually like to have both (just swapping the sim card once in awhile to use the other phone).

I would recommend reading the reviews of the 551 on this site. It seems to have nothing but positive stuff said about it, unlike this phone.

Personally, I like my mpx220 and the looks are still the sweetest thing about this phone. Hell, how often do you really use the camera and other little things that the phone is not noted for? Based on looks--keep the mpx220

the v551 is a good phone, i used it or a month and a half, i have had my mpx220 for 2 month now and had to do 4 master resets on it because my internet would lose the page and would not be able to conenct to it, other than that the mpx220 is ok, right now they are haveing audio problem, motorola has a site you can go to so you can get it fixed.

Please keep in mind that the V551 is a regular cell phone with camera/video camera/bluetooth, etc. The MPX220 is a smartphone.

Ask yourself this question:

Do I want a Windows-based Smartphone, or do I want a regular cell phone, laden with great features like Bluetooth, Video Camera, etc.

TO put it in perspective - its like asking us should you buy the sports car or the SUV. Let us know what you need so we can help you....
