Real kick in the pants!!

Folks:

My MPX220 screen has a large "black" spot about the size of a dime. It's very interesting since the outside surface has no marks at all which would indicate that I hit it on something. I carry it in my pocket with nothing else and am very aware of any scratches as we haven't been provided with a case option as yet.

I call the cingular repair line and told them what problem I was having. Bottom line is that to get my 2 month old phone replaced is going to cost me $450!! I only paid 189 for it with my 2 yr contract! I cannot upgrade my service to get another phone until Sept so basicly I'm stuck with this thing until then!

LOL..maybe I had the same rep with my MPX220 too. I gave up..did take the phone back and got a cheaper one for now. I wanna see the Nokia flips if they ever get here. I hate that you can't upgrade whenever you want. What is the point of that? THey are sure getting their monies eather way.

I moved over from ATT in December only because I had to to get my 220 and have found Cingulars service (or lack of it) to be outrageous. I really don't understand how a company can do business like they do. I was perfectly happy with ATT customer service for ten years. Three months with Cingular has me shopping around.
