Motorola MPx220

I was wondering if the MPX220 will work with MEdia Net?

I just bought the mpx220 and I have no problem hearing on it when making a call. But the ringtones are very low. The mp3 ones are even lower. When I went to the store the demo model's ringtones where loud enough to hear. If I put the one I have in my pocket you can't hear it ring. Anyone else notice this?

I set-up my comcast mail account since I can't seem to get my Gmail account to work. While I configured it to the settings that were given to me by Comcast, I keep getting the following error message after receiving my new emails (yet the 9 new emails have never appeared in my inbox): "The following errors occurred while sending and receiving mail: The message(s) could not be sent. Verify that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct and then try again." Anyone have any suggestions? At least I have gotten further with the Comcast account than I did with the Gamil account.

How do I adjust the spearker phone vloume- i can't hear the songs when they play

I wanted to let everyone know that my pursuit to extend the time on the external lcd has ended. At this point, I have gone on countless forums, reached out to Motorola 3 times, and to no success. At this point, there is no way to extend the time that the external lcd screen stays on. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know, I will be more then happy to do the leg work behind it.

Any one have any luck on finding a mini keyboard for the mpx220?

So, I'm sure it's posted here somewhere but I've searched about 3 pages and it's just too tedious. I have a customer who has the MPx220 and we can't seem to figure out how to get the external picture ID to work. We've assigned pictures to contacts but when the contact calls, we get nothing... Any advice??? 😡 😕 😡

I'd like to know if anyone can assist me on how I might set-up my gmail account so that I can send and receive messages with gmail on the MPX 220. Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.

This is my first post so forgive me if it is in the wrong place. The timeout setting for the external display can be found in

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Controlpanel/Backlight/CMCS _SLCDTimeout

I changed from the default of 6000 to 60000, now my external display stays on for approx. 1 minute. Hope this is helpful to someone

So this weekend my phone started displaying a "No service" message where it usually says Cinglar. Even when it had 4 bars, it still displayed that message, and I couldn't make any calls, use the internet, etc.

I called Cingular and they told me it's not the service and told me to get a new SIM card. So i went to Best Buy and got a new Sim card. Still no luck. I did a master reset, no luck. I put my sim card in a friends phone and it worked fine.

So Cingular is sending me my 3rd replacement phone, which is ok since i have a big scratch on the front of this one. But they're backordered so no telling how long it will be before i get it 🙄

When i take a picture, it is set up to save to my documents\my pictures but instead of saving it to that location it says its saving to card when i hit the save to alblum button after i take a picture. then i go to view photos and there is no photos on my card or in the mydocuments\my pictures folders... i dont know what 2 do i was just at a car show and had some cool pictures

I have a question and maybe I am just missing something. I recently got the 220 and the external caller ID times out in like 10 seconds and then disappears. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to make the external lcd stay on so I can see it???

Is there any way to add different wallpapers to the external display, other than those that come on the phone?

Sometimes when someone calls me or i call someone the person on the other line can not hear me at all, but i can hear them fine. While they are still on i go to menu and its not muted so i mute then unmute it and that works sometimes, or other times i go to speaker-phone then turn speaker-phone off and it will work sometimes. I know someone who has the same exact phone and he got it for a little while also. any input is greatly appreciated.

guys i live in the Atlanta, GA area. i've been having problems with my reception.. Other Cingular phones and sprint phones seems to work better in some areas. any of u guys have any reception issues??
I heard that some phones have better receptions than others. Is there a way to find out cause these drop calls r pissing me off.

Can the MPX220 be configured to access mail servers directly using SMTP and POP servers. If so how is the phone setup?

Is it just me or when you send a file via bluetooth to another phone, it's SUPER slow.. Really sucks. Anyone know a way to pump it up or are there others having the same problem?

Motorola HS820 headset was off, but Bluetooth was on. Phone rang, picked it up, the other end couldn't hear me at all. I could hear them.

Experiment:

Turn off Bluetooth on phone, call someone with handset. Can't hear when they pick up. Turn on Speakerphone, they can hear now. Turn off Speakerphone, now they can hear through handset.

Issues:

1) Can't use handset normally with BT on
2) Can't use handset normally with BT off unless on Speakerphone first, which resets internal microphone

Hypotheses:

1) Some setting is screwed up
2) With BT on, the phone assumes answer with BT device
3) Even with firmware 1.30, volume issue with both microphone and earpiece
4) Phone is hosed

Ideas? Earlier forums had no similar iss...
