You can't order it from a Corp. Rep unless you have a Corp. account.

Verizon people probably are not too helpful in ordering it now because it has not been released to the public yet for order.

OK, thanks. I was going to set up a corporate account anyway, but I think there's a number on their site for that. If you happen to have a contact (someone reasonably intelligent) there, I'd appreciate the lead.

It is correct that you need a corp account in order to do this. Like I said mine is in the order system and has a ship date of Jan 31st with overnight shipping to arrive on the 1st. I will not get it any soone than that. As a side note Verizon has it priced in there system at $1,999.99 when I asked my rep why it was that high she said it is to prevent people from ordering it early she told me I could put my order thru today if that is what I wanted to pay as she is unable to overide that price until the release date.

The official release date will be Feb 1st. The price will be $200 after a $70 mail in rebate with a 2 year agreement. The v-cast service will be $15 a month.

How about this, how does it compare to the Audiovox 8940? They are BOTH excellent quality, lets talk about features and actual use, not just personal preference like which is better looking or this one has a red light and that one a blue light.

I spoke to a manager friend today "off the record"
As already stated but just a little reassurance....Yes the release date is Feb 1. I was also told that some of the stock of the phones are in, but not a lot. It will be a slow rollout of phones right off the bat. Meaning that the stores will not be over or even fully stocked right away. There will be a low quantity in all the stores and as the VZW stores see how sales are going will get more and more. Basically the rollout will be similiar to that of the v710.
Presently the stores will recieve APPROXIMATELY 10-50 phones in until sales pick up.
