not immeadiately. first verizon wants the highly desperate people craving for this phone to go at it first. then after that period, they will start commercialing the rebates/special offers. that's why opinion, i'm not totally sure.

I have used the mail in rebates for phones I have purchased at full pop in the past so this should be no different. As long as you send the receipt and the upc I don't think they really check for anythging else. I got my rebates back on my 7000 and my 4500 eventhough I didn't get them with a promotion.
