I just switched to this phone it's awesome. The V-cast is great. Vcast is only 15 a month and it includes unlimited mobile web and vcast and it doesn't come out of your talk minutes. I decrease my price plan to the 39.95 a month for 450 minutes, canceled the old mobile web from my v710, therefore I'm paying the same price as before with unlimited vcast and mobile web.

I just made the switch from the v710 fo the VX-8000 and I am very happy so far. The camera quality is much better and the V-Cast is awesome.

The only discouraging thing about the 8000 is that you cannot use the phone as a modem (as per VZW Customer Service). This does not bother me since I do not use it for that anyway, but you should know that before you make a decision.

Also, the USB cable for this phone will not be available for a while.

You can use it as a modem... I dont get why vzw is saying this. I have read from several credible sources that you will be able to when the data cable comes out be able to have access to EVDO broadband for your computer. (though 79.99 /mo) and 1xrtt 60 - 70 k internet for a price as well.
