vx8000 attachment dropped

When I send a midi file to my phone using ######@vzwpix.com it comes through as a text message and then it says "attachment dropped". Anyone know why?

send it as a .midi, not as a .mid

1 your MP3 can not exceed 40 seconds
2 sound setting have to be at 64kbps or less
