I am now on my third phone now and testing this one to see if the problem still exists. The last 2 I had I lost 3 bars very quickly and Verizon and LG said this was not normal. If this continues I will bring it back to Verizon

I am glad Braveyoyo started this thread.
My battery fully-charged lasts approx. 3 full days before dying with minimal usage because I am always in the office. Could it be perhaps that the phone is constantly corresponding with the EV-DO network and this is draining the battery quicker?
I have fully charged/discharged (= I use the phone until the battery completely dies, then charge it fully again) my battery 3-4 times since I first bought the phone. I thought that since the 8000 has the new generation of Lithium Polymer Ion batteries, I thought that the battery life would be longer.
How is the battery life for other users? Just wanted to conduct a quick survery of other users before buying an additional extended life battery.

My battery life has been good even though I haven't really tested it that much yet. The other day, the phone had gone down to one bar (after a couple of days w/o charging) and I was still able mess around with the settings for a good length of time and take multiple pictures (at least 10-12) with the flash on. I was pretty impressed that it lasted that long.

i've gone through two days already without charging my phone and i still have 2 bars left. i've used my phone to make calls, check aim, and the mobile web. something to think about....i know the manual says to charge the battery when not in use, but you dont have to charge it all the time. if you keep charging it, the battery will get used to being on a charge so its going to run out faster. i did what koreanphonefan did....after i got it i fully discharged it then fully charge it again. the verizon rep said to fully charge it first but i did that with my last phone and the battery sucked! 🙂 overall, i dont see any problems with the battery life.
