Mega pixel resolution

VZWagent

Feb 10, 2005, 2:08 PM
Out of box the phone is set to the same resolution of a VGA camera (640x480), and if you actually switch it to the megapixel res. (1280x960) and then try to take a picture my phone will not display the taken picture nor save it. Any one else??? Please let me know.

Restart your phone by powering it off and back on again once you set the resolution to the megapixel res. There is a glitch between the V-Cast and the high res camera pics. You will have to power your phone off and back on everytime you go into V-Cast in order for the high res to work.

what's new with VZW... they've always screwed up the software in phones.. you'll end up wasting battery and missing calls by having to turn off/on the phone all the times to use the neat cool features... how s t u p i d ..

As long as the phone makes and receives calls that is most important. Isn't this what your paying Verizon each month for it to do? All those extra features are just an added bonus but actually the more features added to the phones the more problems there will be so just be happy your able to make and receive calls and don't expect the phone to do your laundry and don't sweat the small stuff.....

What did everyone do 10 years ago? Cell phones did not have cameras or take video or have V-cast or have mobile web. Would you expect your coffee maker to open cans and toast bread?

I dont care what they did 10 years ago i pay Vzw for new technology (pics-text and video) yes the phone for calling is very important but when a company advertises about a product we should complain if its not right,in hopes it will be resolved sooner. Thanks

Well, I agree about complaining but simply put, I don't pay for those other services I am not giving Verizon $15 a month for V cast nor will I ever pay 25 cents to send a pic. And yes, everything should work right but the reality is it won't ever work right. As long as my phone makes and receives calls I am happy.

A software fix should be out for this problem by march according to the verizon store where I bought my phone. They are aware of the problem. 😉

I have the same problem, you have to shut it off then back on, BUT WHAT IS INTERESTING IS THAT YOU CAN TAKE A PIC IN HIGH RES BY HAVING THE CAMERA CLOSED , IT WILL SAVE IT !! YOU DONT NEED TO REBOOT!!
