Using Data Cable

Just bought the VX7000 data cable online. I still have to wait a few days to get it, but I wanted to know how to go about using it. I bought the data kit that is offered by Verizon. I have never used one of these before and was wondering just how I go about using it. I have read a lot of the other posts talking about moving things to such and such folders and it all seems really confusing. Any help?

That's the way to do it for now. It is confussing so just read carefully and backup the files it tells you to.
