Please help with BitPim

Hey guys, I just got a data cable for my vx8000 and have downloaded BitPim for mac osx. Can anyone please help or provide links with what exactly to do. I found on step by step site but that is no longer working. I opened bitpim 0.7.26 and selected the vx7000 as my phone (don't know if thats right). It recognizes the com port but when i try to "Get Phone Data" I recieve an error. Thanks in advance. Oh ya can BitPim do everything QTSP can, like mp3 tunes?

that function does not work yet with bitpim. You need to view the filesystem, (select form menu) and do everything through the file system. When the filesystem comes up, you must open it to see all the folders.
