I am now on my third 8000 phone and what is happening is I lose the first 3 battery indicator bars in the first hour and twenty minutes of talk time but the third bar lasts until about 3 hours then the phone dies in about 3:15. They say your supposed to get 4/12 hours of talk time. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Is there some kind of counter on the phone that you're using to test battery life?

Because i would do a test for you with my own one, but i won't be able to do it on my own w/o a tool.

No whats happening is that out of 4 bars I lose 3 of them within 1:15 minutes and left with one bar and they say your supposed to get 4/12 hours of talk time. I called customer service so they called the store and I got an even swap for the extended life battery at no charge. I will see if this helps. It's a lot bulkier but not going to complain about that. As long as it does what it is supposed to do I am happy. I was told by customer service that being the phone is EVDO even though I don't have the service available in my area they say the phone could be searching for the signal and therefore pulling battery life? Who knows.

They even offered me an even exchange on any phone I wanted but the 8940 as we all know is a piece of *&^% and the Samsung 890 does not have speaker phone and the V710 is a nightmare in itself

Yea, stick with the 8000.

I didn't know the 8k could GET any bulkier 🙂 hehe

Had an extended on my 8600, and it added a lot too it, and it was already a small phone..

was thinking about it for this phone, but i don't know if my pockets have that kind of real estate.

WIsh the extended batteries just had the same size with twice the capacity with some cool technology 😛

Yea, I agree. It definitely won't fit into a pocket without being noticed. But hey, it's a great phone and it seems to connect faster when making a call then any other phone I've owned. So far, no dropped calls. I could have waited for the E815 but if I am still having a problem with this phone by the time the 815 is released, I can probably upgrade to it free also but truthfully, I don't want a crippled phone. Unless it comes with it's own handicap parking pass........
