LG VX-8000 vs. Audiovox CDM-9900

I've had my Audiovox CDM-9900 for 5 months now. My last 3 phones have been the Toshiba made Audiovox's and I've loved each one progressively more.

Before buying the 9900 I had heard about the LG 8000 coming down the pipeline and that it was gonna be an awesome phone.

I'm wondering if the phone is THAT much better than the Audiovox. Almost everyone I know loves the Audiovox.

Primarily is the 1xEV-DO technology on the LG that much faster than the 1xRTT on the Audiovox. The only thing is that on my Audiovox, the internet downloading is tediously slow. Is the LG that much better?

Also, how much louder is the speakerphone on the LG compared to the Audiovox?

Any other things that one might consider drastically superior on the LG 8...

I have owned both and now I own the 8000. First off, the screen clarity is nicer on the Audiovox and also the menus are more customizable like being able to change your wallpaper 7 days a week automatically. However, the speaker is better on the 8000 and downloading from the Internet is a bit faster I have noticed. When you make a call on the 9900, it logs each call regardless how many times you dial the same # and the 8000 only stores the same # once but the time and date of that call changes. The battery life on the 8000 is a bit longer also. Your able to record phone conversations on the 8000 and the 9900 doesn't allow that. The notepad feature on the 9900 is basically useless because every time you press a # while on a call the other p...

Good post. Nice comparison from someone who obviously knows what he's talking about. I never owned the 9900, but I do love my 8000 !
