Secret menu says 8000 tri- mode
On the handset type in #4357*4357. It says the 8000 is tri mode, 1x, evdo. So is the phone tri mode?

Where do I type this in? Everywhere that I type in that sequence of numbers, I end up with nothing.

That's not the secret menu, that's just the information about the phone. The secret menu is accessed a different way.

NOPE. it's not tri-mode... maybe LG meant something else but didn't know how to describe it well so they put trimode... kind of dumb of them..

I don't think so the LG 4500 has the same secret menu and it say that it is dual mode. The LG 6000 has same menu it s suppose to be dual mode but it says tri mode in that menu also. I have used the 6000 in "extented area" which is analog. I think it about advertisement. I dont think they want you know it Tri mode so you the all digital is great. That way it a soft transition when analog is gone.

That the real question? Dose anyone live close to an analog area? Dose the phone go into extented area?

I live in a remote area, and i have my system set on Automatic B, and my phone goes into Extended Network 90% of the time I am home.
