Text Messages Not Being Recieved?
i just picked up this phone and can send out text's, but i cant recieve them. can anybody help me out? i'm on Cingular with the MEdia Works package, so i know i can send/recieve them.

Check the message centre number. Contact cingular care and check to see if the message centre number in your phone is correct. Also in txt messaging profiles on aws legacy systems there is an older legacy txt profile and if that is on you are able to send but not able to recieve messages. Check with care and they should be able to fix the problem for you. 🙄

Believe it or not, I am having the same issue....what's really f---in sad is that I did not have this problem until immediately after I migrated my service from ATT to Cingular...and I mean immediately.....Cingular has already lost points with me, b/c I am a big fan of SMS.
If this problem persists, I will be terminating my service as fast as I got it!

Thanks, but I was already registered, so this morning I called tech. support and they didn't know what to do b/c they said everything seemed fine.
All of a sudden I started receiving them, so maybe with them having to port my number from ATT, maybe they just had to make some adjustments, considering I had just gotten the phone yesterday.

I had so many problems with my phone when i got it. First Internet wasn't working, got that fixed after many visits and calls to cingular. Then mms wouldn't work...same deal...got it working. Then sms....and it was just a cycle over and over. And I got really mad a few days ago and reset my phone to factory settings and everything worked perfect after that. You have no idea how happy i was, too bad i'm getting the s710a when it comes out. I didn't really even get to use this one much.
