Just got this phone today, question about porting.!
I'm liking it so far. Very slick design, bluetooth is awesome on my Powerbook.
Question though. I'm switching from Verizon, how long does the porting process usually take? It's been about a day or two now.

yeah my status page online says "request sent"
"Your port request to transfer your current phone number was sent to VERIZON WIRELESS today. Your billing with AT&T Wireless also begins today.
You should have outbound service by the time you receive your phone. If you cannot receive inbound calls, you will receive a free text message on your new phone once the port request is complete.
At current state, you should have inbound service with AT&T Wireless four business days from today."
This was in an email sent yesterday at 8:40, just under 24 hours :-P

ok so its been 24 hours, at what point should i try and contact customer service?
i know they said 4 days, but everywhere i read says it takes a couple of hours.

I've had the phone for a few days and I've noticed the following:
1) Battery life is fine
2) RF is decent - I'd expect better from a $300 phone, though. I've used it from PA to DC and have had some less than stellar performance a) with background noise in the car picking up too well in the conversation - ie me being drowned out & b) with not being able to hear the other end too well... I hear this phone uses the exact same antenna as its predecessor, which was also less than stellar... which is a shame given that this phone is supposed to be the newer generation. I'm guessing the K700 will be the next generation with better RF performance. What are the opinions of you who have the phone already?
