Is there a way I can change the "up" hotkey to a different function?

I am considering switching to this phone and was wondering if anyone had any experience pairing it with a Bluetooth capable PDA. Any insite would be greatly appreciated.

Does this phone defualt to hide my number everytime I make a call? I mean, everytime I call someone do I have to hit the "More" button and choose the "Show My Number" option so that the call dosen't comes up as restricted on the other person's phone.

Is there a way to change the default to show my number for all calls not just for one call at a time?

I can't find a straight answer on this?

What software is needed to sync this phone and calendar with Microsoft Outlook.

I just got this phone, T637 and I love it. Much better than my old nokia 3560. My provider is cingular.

2 Questions:

1.
I would like to download ringtones and themes from http://www.myt610.net but I wanna do it without paying for the internet service for the phone. I know the phone is blue tooth enabled so if I buy a USB adapter for bluetooth will it let me copy over the themes right onto the phone? And how?

2.
What is the difference between all the USB adapters for bluetooth?

that is a whole bunch of them, some got different/higher prices, for what reason? Why should I get a $30-$40 one when I can get the $20 one.

sometimes when i press my power button it gets stuck. i was wondering if that happens to anyone elses phone too or if i should switch mine out for a new one? i've only had it for about 10 days and haven't spilled anything on it or gotten anything sticky on it anywhere so i don't know what the problem is with this.

Since a few weeks ago my phone constantly asks me to confirm that it has a new time zone, even though I am in the same one. I turned auto time zone off, but would like to have that feature on. It is as if every time my phone drops in/out of service it resets the time zone. Anybody know why it started doing this randomly?

Also around the same time, when I connect to a phone call, there is a "ding" bell sound and on the screen it says "Encryption turned off" and then a small triangle with a ! in the middle is at the top of the screen for the duration of the call. Anybody know what this is?

Any help is much appreciated. I love this phone, just don't know why it started doing this.

I currently own a T616 but I want a phone that has repetative alert for the SMS. Does anyone know if the T637 has this function. I find if I miss the alert I don't notice it until I happen to look at the phone.

Yesterday the litte icon at the top of my screen indicating that I have a message disappeared and it doesn't seem to be coming back. I have experimented with calling myself and leaving a message, so I know it isn't working. Has anyone had this happen? Would it be a problem with the phone or the provider? Is there a setting I might have accidently changed? Other thoughts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I received a Cingular-branded car charger with my SE. When you have it plugged into the car, the Cingular logo lights up orange.

I did not receive any instructions with this 'free' charger.

I cannot find anything in my phone guide either.

Can anyone tell me how long I should allow the phone to be on the car charger?

Just purchased 2 of these phones and still on my 15-day trial period. Ends in 2 days! 🙄

One phone has the joystick readily raised and easy to use; the other one seems recessed more and harder to access.

Went to Cingular repair center and they said nothing can be done, they are just 'like that'.

They showed me their dummy model and the joystick was raised higher than mine and even more easier to use.

Just wondering if the joystick is going to give me problems in the future, or if it will start recessing even more.

Anyone else noticed this problem?

So I got the phone, got the motorola bluetooth headset, and i have a powerbook.

im pretty savvy with pairing and all that stuff, so i have the phone and the headset paired, cool. i have the phone and the computer paired, cool. can i make a phone call from my computer while those two are paired and use my headset?

I was wondering about purchasing the unlock phone from another person than through at&t. Since I have to wait 3 more months before I get a discount. So I was wondering if I purchased this phone can I just take out my sim card from my old phone and insert it in to the sony. Or do I have to still take the sony phone to at&t and they have to activate it for me? I just don't want to wait 3 more months or have to pay the full price.. Silly me.. rox

When I use my 637 in the car at highway speed I have had people ask me if I am on the moon!!!! So I called my work voice mail from the car and left a message !!!! Man was it loud. Any body else have this prob? I also tried my wifes Moto V600 and it is really quiet as far as roadnoise.

Can anyone who has a Jabra BT250 and is using it with this phone tell me if your getting static in your calls and if the person your talking to hears an echo? I had this headset for roughly a week and have noticed that even outside in a park when I'm no where near power lines that i gewt static in my calls and the person always complains of an echo. I'm thinking about returning this and gettting the Moto HS820 headset.

Will it be possible with this phone to download applications, screensavers, etc. to a computer and then transfer to the phone via USB cable?

I know you could do this via the wireless web, but I would rather not pay a monthly fee for that service. I'd rather d/l for free to the computer and transfer if possible.

Also, is there an additional monthly fee to use the camera, video? I would assume there would be a fee to send it wirelessly via the phone, but couldn't one upload to a computer and then send out through regular mail?

Finally, what about using the phone with another bluetooth enabled device (such as a camcorder)? Is there an additional fee to use the phone to connect to a local ISP, or would only the regular calling minutes a...

If i take a picture with the phone at about 20k, then bring it to my computer unaltered....

The computer shows the picture at the correct file size. No surprises.

If I then delete the original photo on the phone and transfer the untouched copy from the computer back onto the phone, suddenly the phone reads it as being 60k a 200% increase!

Browsing the files on the phone from my computer though, shows the file at the correct size still, 20k.

Is this a software bug or did it actually bloat the file?

Will SE be any help on this if I try to contact them, ie is it worth my time?

Anyone with this combo have issues with phone disconnecting bluetooth when disconnecting call? Every time I finish a call (either I hang up or they hang up), the 820 loses connection permanently with the 637.

My ical will sync up, but the information will be way off. For example if I have to work at 9-5 on 10/4/04, it will say on my phone that I have to work 3-7 on 10/4/04-10/5/05. I'm using a 15" powerbook, and ical on OS 10.3. Any ideas?
