That IS is a slick phone! I am scared to see how much one of those cost. I don't see why you couldn't get it to work over here as long as it's unlocked. You'll also of course have to manually enter in the network settings for you carrier as well.
I wish I had the $$$ for this phone too!

the v800 is a 3g phone.. its not going to be available in the us.. its like the z1010 .. there both hot but not for any of us us customers

It CAN however be used in the US though, if anyone feels so inclined to go nuts and get one. I did see that it was strictly a Vodafone unit for the UK, but it can still be used in the US. It has to be unlocked, and yeah, of course you have to order it from the UK... but it will work in the US. I've already seen one on Ebay that actually is already here in the US. Oh yeah, and of course you won't be able to take advantage of the 3G aspect of it either here in the US. You'd be limited to standard GPRS data speeds.

what i don't understand is if they have these phone companines have the technology to put some much in a small sexy phone then how come they have so much trouble releasein all that in america? I"m guessin they have different subsidary companines that own certain technology but how come they don't release it in america
...
We don't have the networks yet to support 3G phones. In Japan they use UMTS, which is what our GSM networks will eventually be converted to, in more than a couple years from now. In South Korea they use EV-DO, which Verizon will just start to roll out next year- some of those advanced phones may be able to be set up on verizon, but they will cost you thousands
