Sony Ericsson Z500
Z500 or Moto 551
Which one is better? Im leaning towards this phone b/c i havent had much luck with my motorola phones. My v60 broke with 3 months left and the t721 is not well made and junkey feeling. Any other insight. Pretend money is no object. Thanx

Well, it's a trade off between features and other aspects. You can look up size and weight and everything by comparing the two. The Moto V551 has a little larger screen, bluetooth, and speakerphone. The SE Z500 has a color external screen, changable faceplates, and better battery life. They both have EDGE, so that shouldn't be the deciding factor. Personally, I'd like to get the Z500 (if it ever comes out!). Go look up the two phones and compare them.

I'd get the Z500. I've had the Motorola v600 for a while now and before that I had a SE T616. The SE phones are much better imho. Better menu's, phonebook, reception, etc... hope this helps!

what about the screen size. I saw my friends motorola and the screen isn't that big. Is it the same size screen as the sony ericsson t637? Can anyone give me a realitive size compared to the motorola? This is the one thing im concerned about

Like flcelldog said, the z500a's screen is the same size, 128 x 160, as the t637. The Mot v551's screen is larger at 176 x 220, a pretty decent difference. The z500a's screen is a little smallish for a flip phone, in my personal opinion...

Ive noticed that the v400 uses TFT screen while the z500 has a CSTN screen. whats the difference?

Just to clarify, the z500's outside screen is CSTN, but the main screen is TFT. 🙂

And where did you get this clarification?? It says on the specifications page here that it is CSTN..not once does it mention TFT..

that's one of many places who report that there's a TFT screen, so as far as I know, there is. and if not, oh well. I'm waiting for the v620 now anyway. at least moto actually releases their phones.
