MP3 ringtones?
Only 5mb storage, so what i do is i used a program i downloaded from download.com that will cut segments of a song, so you pick the segment you want as your ring tone and send it over the data cable. Set it as your ring tone and your done.
Very easy, and free.....

i'd also reccomend Audacity, you can download it at http://audacity.sourceforge.net and its a full featured audio editor and it's entirely free!
I've tried using higher quality mp3 clips as ringtones but on the phone when the ringer volume is relatively loud, I really can't hear much of a difference between the high quality and low quality versions.
On a side note, once I removed all the non-protected media from my phone as well as the demo games I ended up pretty much right at 7MB of free space. 😁
Thanks!
(Just ordered my phone and am wondering what cable and software are easiest for customizing the interface)
And what software do you use to make new themes?
Thanks!
Download Adobe Audition.
Edit the audio.
Save as MP3, Mono, 56Kbps
transfer to phone...
If you don't have the USB cable...
Upload to a server.
text message the link of the mp3 file.
ex:
When you receive the text message, open the hyperlink and it will download the ringtone.
