Sony Ericsson Z500
Is there going to be a follow-on to the Z500?
I really like this phone. Unfortunately for me the lack of bluetooth was a non-starter 😡
SE made a ton of follow on phones to the T610. Anyone know if they are planning to do the same with the Z500. I had the Z600 at one point in time and it was a great phone. If they do here is what I think they should work on.
1. Bluetooth
2. Reduce the size to something around the size of the V551.
3. Brighter Screen

I just got an email from SE today about the z520 that was "just announced". It doesn't look much like the z500 at all; it is a flip phone as well, but has a loop-type antenna. The email didn't give much of a description other than saying you can program the lights on the phone to "dance" a certain way depending on who's calling, and that's about it. Hopefully more details will follow soon... 😁

I personally am going to get it. I just ordered the z500a last night from cingulars website. i hope it's as good as you all say it is. But, the one thing i like about the z520a is that it's smaller, bluetooth enabled, and that ugly orange backlit for the keypad is now customizable. just check out the link i posted

Does anyone know when the z520 is suppose to come out because I am getting the z500 in July and I am getting the two year agreement. I really like the new one though.

me too i finally got my z500 2day and like the z520 even more and would like to trade it in for the z520 under the cingular 30 day warranty. with the warranty still in effect i can get the upgrade for free. so if any one's got the hook up with cingular or sony could they help me out with that date?
