Can you see the photo caller ID when the phone is closed or only when it's opened?

I have dropped this phone and the internal lcd went [no damn insurance]. I have purchased a new lcd panel cheap and just need help on replacing. There are 4 torx screws and 4 snap clips, as I can see but seems to be connected somehow to hinge and need to know if anyone knows what needs to be done to replace the lcd panel. I have the lcd board only, with inside and outside screen on the board. Thanks for any help.

I cant seem to get my computer to recognize my phone. I download some files from sony and some others that i read about on a forum. The cable i got didnt come with a CD but it is a sony ericcson cable.

Could anyone who has the cd copy the files off the cd and email them to me please?

or link me to the correct drivers and an aplication so i can send mp3's to my phone to use them as ring tones.

i am thinking of switching to cingular and going with the z500a. I have read all of the reviews for this phone and am still undecided. Is this a good phone to get or do the cons out weigh the pros. i need help, thanks. I live in apple valley, minnesota and i travel to iowa, illinoise, and oklahoma. any advice would be great.

How do I get mp3 ringtones into z500 with a data cable? What directory do I put it in? what program do I use?

Anyone know where to get more themes for this phone? I tried using my old T616 themes but they do not work with this phone. It tells me that the file is corrupt. Also this phone will not play some of the ringers I had downloaded on my t616. bummer. I can't seem to read messages on the outer display either. I push the volume up button but nothing happens.

I bought my data cabel at cingular but it did not come with a cd and they told me to get it off the site... i have looked everywhere and can not find the drivers or the software to remove pictures can someone help me and send me a link or the file?

I had it before and restored my computer so I no longer have the one I did from the site but I have spent over 2 hours trying to find it on the site with nothing coming up.

I just ordered my Z500a from Cingular and I'm wondering what is the best USB cable to get. I'm not worried about using it for a modem, I just want to be able to move pics and sounds from my laptop to the phone and back with no hassles.. And customize the theme with my own creations. What are your thoughts? Should I get a "data connectivity kit"? Or do I just need the $9.95 USB cable from datapilot and some free software?

I got a DCU-11 data cable online. When I try to download the drivers from Sony it keeps crashing on me and telling me that I don't have Key permission or permission to write to the key. I donwloaded floats but I can't see anything onth ephone? What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I got my link cbale to work but now I am wondering if there is a program I can download that will let me unlock locked files on my phone to either delete or download.

My Z500 shuts down. I went to use my phone and the phone was off. Yet, I didn't power it off. I tried to power it back on with the power button and it wouldn't come on. The only way that I could get my phone back on was to remove the battery. It has done this to me twice. Has anyone else had this problem with this phone? If so, how did you resolve this issue?

I originally gave this phone a good review but I have to take it all back. Let's face it everyone drops their cell phone once in while. The first time this phone fell to the ground was after it slid off a locker room bench and it was all over. The phone was dead! Not a major impact and not the worst fall I have had other phones take.

I have never had a phone break before. I traded it in for a LG L1400. Much better phone all the way around.

It's a great thing that Cingular has a sim card or all my phone numbers would have been lost. 😡

I just ordered one of these. I don't know if its the 500 or the 500a because I did not realize there were two.

But am I right that there is not hands free device for this one? I'll have to use the speaker phone if I don't want to hold it in the car?

Does anyone know if and how to increase the size of the fonts on the caller ID and flip screen? (I don't mean on the text messaging.)

When it is idle (on standby) the time shows up in nice, large numbers. My "older" eyes need larger letters and numbers.

Is there a shortcut key sequence for turning the speakerphone on or off?
