Vibrate without "manner mode"
Can the VX6100 ringer be set to vibrate only, without putting the phone into "manner mode"?

No, unfortunately. One of the most dumb and crazy things LG ever did for no good reason. I sent them countless emails and they don't even bother to reply.
If somebody at LG reads this, please listen carefully: Don't do that, while all other phones are still doing taht! we NEED vibration forst and THEN ring, or vibration and ring together at all volumes, not just highest volume.

in order to make it so that it vibrates first and then rings....you have to edit a ringer using your computer. All you haev o do is put a blank sound clip in front or the actual ringer and then put the together. Then send it back to your phone. 😉

the phone IS capable of vibrating twice and then ringing, but it's only at the highest volume level- with your phone open, use the side buttons to turn the ringer volume all the way up to Vib & High
