Nokia 7610

I was thinking about purchasing the nokia 7610 but after I read some people's comments, it made me think twice. Here is what I look for in a phone:

1) Good camera quality.
2) Bluetooth connection.
3) Loud ringer.
4) Plays mp3/makes mp3 ringtones.
5) Loud and clear speakerphone.
6) Voice memo.

If anyone has experienced the nokia 7260, I would very much appreciate an opinion on comparisons.

I just wanna know if nokia 7610 is comptatible with an 512Mb msd... i know that is compatible with 256 minisd but a friend of mine told me that might not work properly with the 512 one.. If someone has tested it pls HELP ME... i really need the 512Mb for mp3's....

I've had the Asian version of this phone for almost a year now. I would like to say that anyone who travels overseas should look into having an unlocked phone. Makes things very cheap, instead of paying for roaming.
Anyway, almost a year later, this phone is still pretty nice. Battery life is good, camera works well, and now that ATT is Cingular, the reception is better.(ATT was very bad.)
The one thing that I liked when I bought it, but am not liking so much now is the keypad. The buttons feel nice, but its the layout that bugs me now. You really need to dial, or sms with right hand, or both hands. I find the thing to be annoying. Am thinking of upgrading to another Nokia later in the year. Again, it will probably be an Asian ...

When I first purchased my 7610, booted it up, it asked me if I wanted to copy all of my contacts from my SIM into my Contacts folder. Unfortunately I clicked 'no' so I had to copy them all over manually.

Is there a way to "sync" up the contacts from my SIM into my (7610) Contacts folder?

One simple question; does this phone really have an MP3 player, or it doesnt? When phone was on cingular site it never stated it, the own Nokia website does not even state it. Some please clarify.

I purchased Nokia 7610 last July unbranded and phone worked fine until now. I called Nokia USA and was told that my phone is European version and they wont be able to help me, that sucks . Anyway, to make long story short, my T-mobile sim is not working with my 7610, i can't receive incoming calls and hear this message "The subscriber number you dialed is not available or out of service area...blah blah" 😲 😕

If you've run into this problem and know how to fix, please guide me through. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just read through the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book 2004 (online) and saw that you can buy the 7610 through them. However they are priced at $849 a piece! It looks like they might be offering special color schemes. That is the only thing I can guess to justify the price...oh and yeah, Neiman's shoppers have more money than brains!
