How To Make Your Own Rngtones for Dummies
In order to make your own ringtones from scratch, you'll just need a few basic programs. This will be a general post. If you need more specific information on any of these steps, e-mail me.
You'll need five things to make a ringtone:
1) An MP3 or WAV audio file (if WAV, skip 2)
2) An MP3 to WAV converter program
3) A WAV editing program
4) Qualcomms Purevoice converter
5) A means to upload the ring
For step 2, there are tons of programs you can find. A good place to go is download.com. Just go to Audio and Video and search for "mp3 to wav converter". There are hundreds.

The only thing I could think it might be is when I'm converting the files with cheetah it isn't saving them as a 16 bit file. I'm not to knowledgeable in that area and there aren't any settings to adjust how many bits the file is.
