Sanyo PM-8200 / SCP-8200

Whoever keeps posting random release dates is wrong. Whoever buys an 8200 from E-Bay is either getting scammed or getting a stolen phone that sprint won't activate.

The shipping date for the PM8200 has not been set. The next phone to actually come out using Sprint's service is the Samsung A680, which ships on April 19th. It won't have the reception that the 8200 has, but Sprint needs to move more 8100's out of their inventory before they release the next model up at the EXACT SAME PRICE POINT. They would just sit on their stock of 8100's if they released it now. Give it 2 weeks or so, and they will have a release date set by the end of April.

Of course, there is a chance that the fools in this forum know more than a regional Sprint R...

Switching to Sprint on Friday. Have seen mixed reviews aside from the awesome display of the toshiba.
Anyone have suggestions on which is the better phone?

Ok, I JUST received my new PM4500 and love it, but if the 8200 is better -- I still have a little time to exchange. What are the differences? Seems like just camera placement.

Is there a performance difference in Vision, text, browser, etc?? Seems too new for the usual comparisons online.

The Spring store near me said they will have the 8200 by the end of the week. But I just called Customer Solutions (*2) and did the whole, "My contract is out, what do you have for me?" And they are sending out a 8200 in the next few days for me (Blue, for those of you that are curious). They guy said they have 435 in stock. Well, 434 now.

OK, I was typing that while I was on hold. Apparently, he was having problems ordering the phone, so he called up a store near me and I just have to pick it up from them now. Even though I called earlier and they said they don't have it. Tricky bastards. I'll give you an update if anyone is interested.

hey ya guyz. juss wanted to say that this phone and its specs. are on the sanyo website. You actually git to see it in the 3 different colors and how it functions.

I really like this phone and am deciding either i replace my phone with the Sanyo PM8200 or the Samsung VM-A680. If price for this phone goes well, it might just win me over. Later pplz!

What is the difference between this phone and the 5500? Does this phone do video?

Will the software upgrade for the 8200 work on the 8100 ith theory it should work.

i'm waiting anxiously for this phone. it sounds pretty good so far. literally, i am checking the sprint site multiple times a day to see if it is being sold yet.

i am desperately awaiting the day when i can get rid of my samsung N-400. it's a real crapper.

I just bought the 7300.. from radio shack for 279.99 and you guys think the 8200 is going to cost the same price. Should I return this phone now?... i have a digital camera so dont care so much for the camera but if its going to cost the same amount wouldnt that be smarter?

This phone is hot, just by looking at it. Sanyo once again has out done themselves. One thing "WHY ALL THE PHONES THAT ARE COMING OUT LOOK ALIKE NOW. NO DIFFERENCE"
