ANY UPDATES FOR VERIZON
Anyone have any new info. on when this phone will be released by Verizon? Or what features will be crippled?

Sorry... just getting frustrated. Can you add the MP3 player back to the phone?

dont get to upset all predictions up till now have been wrong too shouldnt get your hopes up i mean you got all summer to wait if a major carrier is to pick it up though i havent seen that commercial in a while (wonder why) either way the mp3 player will likely still be on the phone just unusable as in it is locked in the program file that you cant access.

Take this for whats its worth. There is a good chance that Nokia will soon be selling the 6255i unlocked off their web site. Verizon was supposed to offer this in the 6256i version, but what I know is that they still haven't picked it up. my info comes from someone in nokia and not a salesperson.

as for US Cellular I don't know anything. The only reason I know of verizon is due to the fact its the only realistic carrier in my area. So all my info is reguarding them and the 6255i. According to my source, could see it available unlocked on nokias website in early to mid aug.
