Nokia 6255i / 6256i
August 15th For Verizon???
I've heard that the LG 5200 is coming out August 15th for Verizon. That affects the Nokia 6256i launch how? Well, VZW has a bit of history in launching several new phones at the same time (guess it makes sense in a way, since that's fairest for competing phone makers).

Augh. Now they're saying that the new phones for Verizon are coming on the 29th. I guess to counter that 'something special' Cingular says its gonna do at the end of the month?
Whatev... this is starting to get old. Ah well, 12 days and counting. If still no dice then, I probably say 'screw it' and use my upgrade to get a Samsung 670. đ

Just got in the new batch of rebates that start on the 29th today. Among them is a $50 rebate for the LG 5200.
With the 6256 on Nokia's website and the online manual on VZ's website I would say the 29th might be a real possibility.
I'd say don't settle for a Sam 670 but do whatever you want, as long as you don't get an Audiovox 8910.

ultima: you mentioned rebate forms,do you work at a retailer? If so, ind or corp? I want to see this phone come through corp, as my wife qualifies for a good gov disc program.

I'm an indirect agent. I'm not even sure if I will be able to carry this phone except for special orders or not.

You mean bluetooth? I honestly don't know. I'd imagine it would be, as that would be consistent with what they've done in the past.
It's a ding against this phone (and all Verizon phones in general, wish they'd stop doing that), but I'm still getting it, for the speakermode, trimode, and good reception, voice quality, and build quality Nokia is known for. Hope its out the 29th like some are saying. đ
