why would they put a 65,536 display in the phone. I hate that crap it will look like the 5200 screen, need higher resolution like the 8100/6100 at 262,144. 😢

Does the display make the phone have better reception? Just wanted you to remember that this is a........PHONE and not a TV.

I went to a demonstration for the 6255i. I took a picture with the 6255i, the same with an LG-6000 and also an LG-6100.

The Nokia 6255i main LCD display looked at least twice as sharp and clear as the two other LG phones. I was VERY impressed.

The underlying resolution of the photo itself was the same as the other two phones.

I have played with the nokia as well and their is no way the display was twice as nice as the 6100! the camera quality was just as good but the display was no where close to the clarity of the 8100 or 6100. I am not dogging the phone here, i think it will be a great phone, but come on let's be fair.

All the higher end phones have 262000 displays. Oh, and how can you make a reception comment until you have used one? My understanding is that this new lineup of nokias have adopted a new chipset so we can't necassarly judge by old products. It's a nice phone and if it really comes uncripled in the bluetooth column it will be sweet but they shouldn't have cheaped out on the...

I've had a 6255i for about three months now and Bluetooth is not crippled, reception is better than any phone I've owned in the past 6yrs. (a couple ericsson's, a couple nokia's, a motorola and a kyocera). I like the phone a lot, it could be better though, but still I'm happy and consider it money well spent.
Oh, and you can actually watch TV on the darned thing. It's a crappy picture, but I can watch MSNBC, Discovery, TLC and several other "channels" vi MobiTV.
