The Nokia 6256i has been taken off the "Expected Soon" page on the Nokia Website.

It is listed as being available from Best Buy and Radio Shack.

Has anyone seen it in stores yet?

This is good news bc surely the Verizon stores will be getting them next. 🙂

I went by my local Radio Shack and they showed me the dummy version of this phone.

I asked them when they were probably receive them to sell and was told that they might not even sell the phone! They said they "might" get the phone before the end of the year. They only have a month and a half left with there verizon contract, so we'll just have to wait and see. But why get a dummy phone if you don't plan on selling it?!

I got the exact same response - I was holding the dummy phone and he said they may never get them because the Verizon contract is about to expire.

I'm telling ya, something smells rotten with the way this phone is being released. One Verizon rep told me today that whenever they decide to release a phone through agents only, it's because the phone doesn't pass all the Verizon quality tests.

I wonder if having full bluetooth is the reason why VZW will support the phone, but not 100%.

There might be other things, we will have to wait and see what is going on.

Sounds like somethin' they'd say jus' to put you off buyin' phones at agent stores.

Too bad 'bout Radio Shack, but there's always Best Buy.

I'm really hoping Verizon stores end up carrying this phone, but don't hold your breath. I'd be curious if anyone else asked a Verizon rep (at a Verizon store) about whether or not this will get sold at Verizon stores. The 3 I talked to all said no.
