
Nokia 6255i / 6256i
VzW rep told me the following things:
1. If I buy a VzW phone from anywhere other than VzW, I am NOT eligible for NE2 (New Phone Every Two Years).
2. He said that he knew nothing of the Nokia 6256i.
3. For me to get around the fact that VzW cripples the OBEX profile (which allows for file transfers) on all its existing BlueTooth phones, I have two options:
(a) USB file transfers. I asked the sales rep which phones have USB ports, and he told me,"Only the smart phones/PDAs. This includes the LG VX 9800."
Since I do not want those PDAs with the QWERTY keyboards, that is not an option for me.
(b) Expansion card (Mini SD - "Smart Disk"). If I get an expansion card and also a Ca...

So I guess the 30 other people who said the exact same thing here just weren't credible enough?
Stick with your land line, that appears to be the obvious choice for you.

🤣 ...well i dont really know what to say ...but whoever you talked to is an idiot ...cuz no matter where you buy your phone you can get the NE2 (as long as your on a certain plan or higher) and the 6256i is not crippled ...if you have any questions quit goin to the direct stores ...cuz some of the people in there seem to think they are gettin it and some think they arent...the 6256i is supposed to be an agent phone 🤣 well if you would like to know anything about it i will find out for you ... i have it and i use bluetooth and infared to get my pix to and from my computer and my other nokia phone and infared pda's
