Nokia 6255i / 6256i

I just got off the phone with a rep about why I couldn't get my phone activated, and she told me that it was because it hasn't technically been released with Verizon yet, and to just be patient and wait for the official "release date". Anyone else having this problem with getting the 6255i programed with Verizon, and if so, any more advice. This phone is kick ass and I def do not wanna go giving it up if Verizon is just gonna pick it up soon anyway. Thanx!

Has anyone had any luck activating this or any other non-sprint phone on Sprint?

I know that a lot of people say that verizon will only activate the 6256I and not the 6255i when that finally comes out.

If so, I know how to program the numbers as long as I have the lock code, but what about data info, like username and password, etc. On sprint there is a special code to access this part of the phone, using the lock code. Is this the same on VZW or other CDMA carriers?
And what is the lowest non-activation price out there (other than ebay)??

I'd like to connect my Palm T|T to the net via bluetooth to this phone and use the connection for internet access. Anyone have hints on how to do this?

Can you name name dial and digit dial from a bluetooth headset like u can w the v710??

I can't find this info anywhere. I've tried WMA AND MPEG. Anyone have any luck downloading and playing movie clips?

I've heard that the LG 5200 is coming out August 15th for Verizon. That affects the Nokia 6256i launch how? Well, VZW has a bit of history in launching several new phones at the same time (guess it makes sense in a way, since that's fairest for competing phone makers).

So maybe we'll see this bad boy next Monday? Hope so. 🙂

Does anyone know if this phone used a standard SD memory card, or if you have to have a special card?

I have tried two headset both Jabras the BT 250V & The BT800 both worked fine at first then got glitchy to the point where the could answer any calls then Jabra told me they know that they have problems with this model phone and didn't offer me any remedy..... so I am asking has anyone found a good BT headset that really works? any feedback would be very much appreciated.....

Am considering trading in my moto v710 for a nokia 6255/6i if and when VZ carries it

Can someone tell me how the T9 text entry works as far as "learning" new words not in the database? eg, if I keep typing in the same last name, will it learn the work so I don't have to type each letter in?

Itap really works well in that regard. I use my phone as my PDA and don't want to lose that functionality

I need a belt clip for my phone.
-i do not want one of those ugly lookin leather cases
-i have seen one clip-on case, but the phone had to be inserted with the screen inward so you could not see the caller ID.
-anybody see any clips out there that you can see the caller id screen and flip the phone open without taking it out of the case?

Got one last night from Alltel. Here are some observations and questions.

Observations:

1) Its not a bad looking phone, and its not so big as to be a problem. I like the size, actually, and that middle button is easy to use (I probably have average size fingers).

2) The earpiece sound quality and volume are very good.

3) The reception: I've gotten 2 and 3 bars everywhere. Rarely 4. On my old Nokia 3-something brick phone, I had 4 in my house and around town. What's the deal there? However, I haven't had a call dropped yet. I mean, who cares how many bars there are as long as the thing works? But its still troubling. Anybody else have the same experience?
