Finally a phone w/ext caller ID in full color!
I've been with cingular for a while and was thinking of switching to Sprint. Because i love Samsung phones and the VGA 1000 is a phone that has everything I want. But now that there is one almost identical to it to be released for Cingular soon I'll hold on to my Motorola C331t for a bit longer.

And the reason you need caller ID in color is? I sell for Tmobile and I follow this industry closely but since when does a color caller ID screen make ones life better? Maybe I will try that new cell phone with sharpened steel spikes on the ear piece just to make my life a little more interesting. Its from that new company Masochistic Mobile, coming to a town near you.

i didn't get a chance to finish so read this, i was disappointed that Samsung released all of their good quality camera phones on Sprint. I'm thinking about getting a V400 but I've heard people complain about it not having a picture
caller ID even though it has a picture Caller ID. So save ya jokes for somebody who's ya age and read the reviews. This is for people who complain about the V400 no having an ext caller ID.

i had the s307 and upgraded to the v 400. the samsung menus and build quality is alot better then motorolas. if you can wait till this comes out than you should in my opinion. the only good things about the v400 are the mp3 ringtones and the quad band frequency,that only matters if you roam on att/or tmobile towers.in upstate n.y.i had the same coverage with my s307 as i do w/my v400.they ear piece volume is way to low on the v 400.

in my opinion you should wait till this phone comes out.the s307 is a little femmy,and if you dont care about the quad band capability of the v 400,and if you want a camera phone. this phone looks like its the size of the x427 w/a camera and full color display.

It's great for Photo ID - instead of just a number or name, you see your friends' faces when they call - right on the outer display.
It's also useful as a viewfinder for self-portraits.

does the picture id still work on the outer disply when the phone is on vibrate?

yes i work for att wireless and just remember folks, phones with ext caller id and cameras are going to cost more money, than phones without those features. so bring in your purses and wallets to get these new wonderful phones well be selling.. it seems everyone wants to pay 49.99 or less for a phone these days, and with phones like the new e316-17 model they are going to cost more
